Denver Tax Preparer & Accountant
Dru FitzSimons, EA
After completing an intensive tax education course and passing the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) special Enrollment Exam (i.e. EA credential), I am now qualified to serve as an Enrolled Agent to represent clients before the IRS.
I’m super excited to couple my love for numbers, technology and software as I enter the complicated but fascinating world of taxes. An EA credential also provides me the strong foundation for tax preparation.
A Personal Note About Me
A successful tax preparer must also be competent in accounting, including QuickBooks. By Joining Legacy Tax & Accounting Solutions, LLC I will have this platform to master accounting and QuickBooks, including becoming a QuickBooks Proadvisor.
Diversity in culture and language have always held a special place in my heart. First, facing off with a language barrier and starting small with greetings, then building with conversational phrases, and ultimately understanding the complexities of a language. Spanish is my comfort zone but I have also dabbled in French, Chinese and most recently Arabic.
For me, learning a language is more than just learning to speak. It’s like beautiful art. It’s the pleasure of finding the similarities from one language to another while being challenged by the uniqueness of communication. Hearing the wide variety of languages spoken in Denver and sometimes being able to interact with these cultures is so much fun. And of course the full cultural experience would not be complete without the authentic food!
Above all else, I’m a family man. My wife and I love whiskey tasting and a good competitive board game or sharing a meal with friends. We welcomed our first baby in July of 2022 and our lives have never been fuller. We love taking him hiking in the mountains and watching him learn, explore and discover. I’m always ready to try a new hiking trail but I definitely have my favorites. Feel free to share your recommendations or ask me for mine!
